A short piece here to highlight an interview with Sarah Hanness from charity Inclusion Ventures on how Jaywick’s status as the most deprived area in England has helped her organisation secure vital funding from Big Lottery and the local council.

Inclusion Ventures provide out of school activities for young people in centres based across Jaywick and Clacton. It’s good to see that despite the stigma of deprivation, the IMD can make a real difference to charities in securing all-important funding in cases like Jaywick.
